JFK Debunks Rumors of NPP Leadership Shakeup in Parliament
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has addressed speculation surrounding a potential leadership reshuffle in Parliament. Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the NPP, has firmly stated that such a change is not on the party's agenda.
In an interview on TV3 on February 13, 2025, Kodua emphasized that the idea of a leadership change has not been discussed. He expressed his confidence in the current leadership, particularly the Minority leadership under Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, whose performance he described as impressive.
Kodua praised the Minority's efforts in holding the government accountable and advancing the party's positions on national issues. He assured the public that the NPP is fully satisfied with their work and will continue to provide the necessary support.
Despite the rumors, Kodua made it clear that the NPP's leadership is committed to its current parliamentary team. He also expressed optimism about the party's future, predicting a return to power in 2028 if the ongoing reorganization efforts are successful.
Kodua's statements come as Ghanaians reflect on Valentine's Day celebrations, sparking discussions about the balance between love and pressure in the country's political landscape.
